The time has come...

The move has come and gone and I have finally had time to write down the details of the trip. Sunday morning my mother, titters and I headed south bound on I 15 towards St.George to check out Jesse's new place. I have to add that Mr. Titters is not a fan of car rides and after 4 hours of crying and running around the inside of the cab he took a chill pill and parked it in the back. To be honest he almost didn't make it to Arizona!
After staying at Jess's house for about 5 hours we decided to stay the night in Vegas and depart early in the morning to beat out the traffic going over Hover Dam...and yes we left at three in the afternoon in the dead heat of the valley of fire! The poor cat was panting like a dog and mom/I were sweating like whores in church but after two hours of driving and my freaking out over my car we finally made it to Circus Circus!! This is when things got exciting, after gathering our bags I decided to put Titters in his litter box and cover him with a blanket like a baby carrier. Needless to say it worked like a charm and after checking in and heading up elevators packed with people the plan worked out great! After a quick walk up the strip and buying eleven dollar gelatos (yeah my mom and I were thrilled with the price) we were both in bed by eight thirty. The next morning we were up at three thirty, over the Hover Dam by four and in Surprise by eight thirty in the morning!
It was a fun trip and I'm glad my mom came with me. Over the last week I have drove to the airport all by myself and even got lost at the airport all by myself, lol. Since I don't have a job right now I have spent most of my of time in the pool/sun and started to train fro my first 5k run. It's also been a huge adjustment to wake up at eight in the morning sweating and go to bed at nine at night sweating, lol. I start school next week and thankfully have two job interviews at Scottsdale Health care in the med/surg. floor and ICU. Matt wont be down here for another month so I'm finding ways to keep busy. I'm just glad I finally made it down here to my new home!
