"I'm on a boat!"...

With the summer winding down we took our trip to Jackson Hole to ride the river. Matt had never been river rafting before so it was a real treat this time up. Jesse and myself have been going since we were old enough to sit in the rack so it was pretty funny to watch Matt's face as we rolled through the water and the shock that set in when he was brave enough to jump in. To make the story short Matthew found out you can't out swim the current, lol. Here are some pics of our camp! ALMOST ONE MONTH TILL AZ!

Happy 4th...

The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, I mean what could be better then parades with free flying candy and huge fireworks exploding above your head?! Independence day is bar none a family tradition with my dad. Each year we sit in the same area (under the pine trees at the old hospital) watching the parade and the amazing people that go to it, lol. Then after we head to the park for our mini high school reunion and eat our pulled pork sandwiches, then later in the afternoon we eat dinner at gma Mary's house. Well since this glorious day was held on a Sunday this year our strict schedule was mixed up a bit. Saturday we watched the parade, went to the park and then later that night Matt rained on my parade by taking us to Bridger and Miss's house to watch the UFC fights (yes I am a little bitter about missing my beloved fireworks!). To get back on track Sunday we headed to Mary's for our dinner and then had a lil firework show of our own at home.

Wedding bells...

This weekend Matthew and I attended Bridger and Marissa's wedding. It was gorgeous and both the bride and the groom looked fabulous! We are so lucky to have such great friends in our lives, they have been nothing but nice to me since the first time I was introduced to them. I love them both and wish them the best of luck with their marriage. I do have to have a selfish moment and say Matt looked WONDERFUL in his tux! I couldn't stop smiling and looking at him through out the night. I'm truly a lucky women! Here are a couple of quick shots of the night. Once again CONGRATS to two lucky people!

Out and About...

For this shift frame I happen to have Tuesdays off, usually I use this day to head to the gym and do odds and ends around the house. But it just so happen that Matt had to head into SLC to pick up his newly fitted golf clubs, so I tagged along for the ride. The only purpose for this trip was to pick up the clubs and go directly home.... wrong. This one stop shop turned into strolling around at Car Max to see what Matt could trade his beautiful truck for (which I was strongly against, I love his truck!), luckily they didn't have the bid Matt was looking for so he gave up. I also had a chance to walk around and look at a couple cars since I have been thinking about selling my car for something a little bit more dependable...... and newer lol.

After leaving the dealership we decided to go eat lunch. Trying to think of places Matt hasn't been to before I suggested to eat at Ruth's Diner up Emigration Canyon... which was on the opposite side of the valley from West Jordan and five miles up the canyon. The idea was a great success and after eating we decided to go to the zoo which is on the way back down the canyon. Not knowing we were going to be doing all these extra activities I didn't bring my camera. So I picked up a ten dollar disposable, no flash included camera... yeah i know. Needless to say I don't have the pictures yet but when I do I plan on posting them. Another activity we started at the zoo was counting all the prego women we saw walking around with their pack of also of prego friends and pushing strollers. Not that ether of us have a problem with babies but it really blew our minds how many were kicking it at the zoo that day!

The day was really fun and I'm happy we did such random things. I'm also really excited to get all the pics printed out!! In about a month we are heading to Jackson Hole for a mini vacation with my family to go river rafting (it's Matt's first time) and we have promised to spend as much as time as possible out and about in Utah. We also have Bridger and Marrissa's wedding in two weeks, were I get to see Matt in a tux for the first time.

2 months till the big move!

One year...

Matthew and I have been living together for one year as of this month! Even crazier as of this fall we have been together for three years. It blows my mind how time has gone by the last couple of years and how much we have experienced together.

Bumps in the road....

I am a horrible blogger! With all of the craziness happening in our house I haven't had enough time to blog. Matt has picked up several jobs to bust out before we head down to the valley of the sun and I just finished my last semester at Salt Lake Community. With the fall semester being just around the corner, we took a mini vacation to Arizona before the move. To pump Ruby up for the big drive Matt took her to get her hair did! I didn't even recognize her with out all her hair and the best part was the groomer left her fluffy tail! The main purpose for this mini vacation was for me to meet with my councilor and take my HE SI exams for nursing school. For the last six months i have been busting my butt getting my application packet ready for the fall. During my meeting with my advisor she told me that after reviewing my application and credits the program decided my human anatomy credit doesn't meet the criteria needed for Maricopa county. I was floored and started crying immediately. Needless to say I will be moving two months earlier then we expected so i can retake my credit and reapply in December. I'm still a little upset about the set back but Matt and I are excited to speed up the moving date. Now we are looking at the last week of July to the first weeks of August. Here are some pics of our mini vacation and future home, four months till ARIZONA!
